Magari c’è una microspia nell’abbonamento… o un ripetitore per cellulari adibito a sferrare attacchi Man-In-The-Middle in ogni vagone.

Eh no … purtroppo non ho ancora un cellofono linux.
In ogni caso trenitalia, pochi lo sanno, ha una sua rete GSM privata (non virtuale eh… fisica con ripetitori e tuttoquanto) che usa fondamentalmente per emettere le ricevute dei biglietti tickeless. Quindi … volendo … forse potrebbe. Anche senza fare mitm visto che la cifratura delle reti gsm si vocifera essere simmetrica a 54bit.
